As you step inside, the decor may not captivate immediately, with a simple ambiance reminiscent of traditional eateries. However, your expectations will soon be upended by the extensive selection of food that awaits you. The buffet spreads include Eggplant Caponata Salad, Spicy Seafood Salad, and the refreshing Greek Salad, paving the way for a thrilling gastronomic journey.

While some guests have noted variability in the quality of certain dishes—for instance, the BBQ ribs can be a mixed bag—there are moments of sheer delight, such as the remarkable scallop and vermicelli noodle dish that has earned rave reviews. The sushi bar is fresh and provides a variety of rolls, though some patrons pointed out that flavors can blend, resulting in a marijuana of avocado and kani sensations. Still, dishes like the mango salad and a fried food bar featuring diverse sauces will leave you pleasantly surprised.
Dessert lovers will appreciate the chocolate fountain, serving as an indulgent end to a memorable meal. Though critics have mentioned some desserts feeling uninspired, like the cubes of chocolate pudding, the soft ice cream retains its charm, offering flavors like green tea and vanilla.
Visitors often applaud the attentive and friendly staff, who work diligently to keep the dining experience seamless. Additionally, ample parking and a spacious layout create a comfortable environment for family outings or casual lunches.

First off pricing: If you're a Senior Citizen $18.85 and a Regular adult $21.75. Not bad pricing when one considers how expensive just eating out these days costs. I gave the food 4 stars out of 5 because for me it was just ok. So it is fair to say that they probably didn't have all their signature dishes out while I was there. I didn't see giant Crab legs, Steak sirloin, or Salmon Steak. Food was actually good and tasty. BBQ ribs; " some pieces were dry some were moist. Japanese food and soups, nice selection. Desert bar, one cheesecake, chocolate pudding came in a sealed square cube made me think it was bought in bulk from Amazon . Soft ice cream and flan not much taste. No loud playing music or TVs on thankfully Bathrooms: Men's room had 3 urinals 3 tolids and two POWERFUL hand dry blowers (5 stars there). Parking: Large parking lot, but shared with a gym so read the signs. Circled in blue (picture enclosed) seemed like the best place to park. And finally.... My TIP of the day. Save money on the Bill by only accepting what your meal comes with automatically. Hot coffee or Tea and iced water. For me it was suitable, I knew I didn't want to drink soda anyway. So if you planned to go out dancing at a club then eat out, you may want to reconsider and eat out first, because this DJ knows more about food than music. The Review Guru Long Island NY

There is ample parking for DJ's buffet. When you walk in, it feels dingy, but then you'll see the different options for food and you'll be blown away. All of the food is pretty good and they have a lot of options to choose from. Their sushi bar is pretty decent and fresh but everything ends up tasting like avocado and kani after a while. There mango salad is delicious and gets refilled quickly. There's a scallop and vermicelli noodle dish that was really good. They also have a fried food bar with sauces. The ice cream machine serves green tea and vanilla ice cream and they have a chocolate fountain. Staff are quick to remove plates and are always busy but they're very nice. Overall great place to go for lunch! Might come back for dinner options

Came here for lunch buffet with my family. They're located on a very busy street but it's great that they have a large parking lot. Decor inside is quite drab but I didn't really expect much better since they cost under $20 a person. Great thing is my kid got to eat free and they also have a senior discount. Tables and chairs are the same ones you'll see at a Chinese take out restaurant but again this is expected. Wait staff is very friendly and actually quite attentive for a buffet which is really surprising. There's a decent variety of food and generally everything tasted decent. I mainly ate the pig ears which were delicious. I didn't try any of the sushi though since it looked pretty much like a rice roll with a little tiny sliver of fish. All in all at this price point I think this place is a winner.

DJ's International Buffet, Bar & Grill. 1100 Stewart Ave, Garden City, NY 11530 (516)227-2472 Haven't eaten anything all morning so I come prepared. With my noodle soup sweatshirt, noodle soup bag, starburst shorts and LED shoes. I'm so ready. It's a very spacious restaurant. The buffet is away from the tables so ppl aren't just right next to the area. Great idea. Great for families and also I noticed that ppl obviously on their lunch break come here. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS AND FRESH. As usual no dessert, carbs or veggies for me when I come here. PROTEIN ONLY. I made my first round of 4 plates to get a little of everything I wanted. So not to keep getting up after each plate. Stone crabs, sautéed shrimp, pork ribs, mussels, clams, whole fish, chicken feet, fried calamari, butterfly shrimp, roasted, stewed pork knuckles, beef ribs, bacon wrapped shrimp, sashimi, crawfish, roasted duck, tendons, crispy salmon skin and pork chops. After I was done. I went back 4 more times of my favorites one plate at a time to get more of a little of each. Yep for $17 lunch I definitely got my money's worth. Yummmmmy. Hubby made his own 1 plate from the buffet for lunch and 1 plate of dessert. Hands off my plates. OMG. Perfection. Perfection. Perfection. Let the video and pics speak for itself. It's nap time.

So many great dishes with fantastic sushi and sashimi! I always stop in for dinner when I'm working in the area!

We had been here many years ago, before the change of ownership, and came awa y generally unimpressed. We got a tip that things had changed here, and indeed they have. The food choices here go on and on, and they did a very good job of replinishing things that were running low. Quality runs from good to out of this world good. We were quickly given a booth near the food, and had an easy time finding man fine things to eat. The clientele was about two thirds Asian (We take that as a positive sign). Only problem was parking. There was a big adjacent lot, but it was sectioned off into each business' area. We will be back for sure.

Came here for the third time today for mom's birthday and I enjoyed it just as much as the last time if not more!!!. The sushi was amazing the BBQ was awesome!!. The five stars I'm giving it plus the five stars I gave it last time will be 10 stars which is what it deserves!!

Long Island's best Asian buffet. Long Island Buffet's have come and gone.. thrived and withered... had fresh food and well... not ... but DJs has steadily maintained and improved as the years roll on.... the crowds come here... of all ethnic origins also I might ad... lots of Chinese speaking people... and everyone else.... Its really a nice place to go and have fun for lunch or dinner.... if you want to try a million different things.. as I usually do. Hahaha. Love love love their greens, Bok choy especially...mushrooms and for their flavor. Love all the fried mini egg rolls and other appetizers... the grilled food like corn and ribs, chicken on a stick... all so flavorful.... crab is back... for years.. I would see and pay for the inclusion of crab... not that I cared.. if there or not... but some crazies used to race over and empty the seafood out... usually empty... shocked the last two visits to see it there.... the weirdos must have moved away... or.... lol who knows.. hahaha Ok so mussels.... clams... sauteed and flavorful... all kinds of fun stuff.. coconut shrimpy stuff... whatever that is... colorful sushi rolls, seaweed salad next to it... yum, yum and way to good. Soups are self serve on a separate buffet.. Tip... just because its a buffet .. doesn't hurt to add a few singles to Sushi chefs jar. They are rolling and preparing delicious sushi and very helpful. In the back on the salad bar, few people are there... but that is where you can find duck sauce.... hidden back there.... for egg rolls etc.. Oh... dumplings and the hoisin dipping sauce are better than any dumpling house.. seriously would put up against any NYC line around the block dumpling house.. Right here amid the chaos.. Go with a friend.. its fun.
